Carved Pine Central European Blanket Chest
About the Item
This blanket chest has the original rattail hinges, steel lock, keyhole escutcheon, and lifting handles. The inside has a candle box with a lift top lid. The front has incised carvings with a floral wreath motif. The top has old exposed past insect activity in the patina. The corners have exposed dovetailed construction.
