English Painted Blanket Chest
About the Item
English painted blanket chest, this chest features a beautiful salmon color with a swirl graining effect on the front(see photo). The interior and drawer are lined with paper, the under side of the top also is papered with individual verses from Proverbs. The interior has a candle box with lid and retains the original ''rat tail'' steel hinges, drawer with original round beech wood knobs. The sides and front have a nicely shaped serpentine apron and bracket feet; sides with original steel carrying handles.
