Green Leather Camphorwood Studded Trunk
About the Item
This trunk has repeating brass stud work that frames the top with a studded panel. A few of the brass studs have been replaced and a few are missing. The top and edges have a solid brass border except for the front top edge which was removed at some time. The leather flange on the front has had a seven inch portion cut out to expose the shield shaped key hole escutcheon. The front has a simulated drapery swag made of repeating brass studs. The sides retain the original heavy cast brass lifting handles. The interior has two lift out trays in the top.
