1935 Series bookshelf designed by Carlo Scarpa for Bernini, 1979

About the Item

The 1935 Series bookshelf was conceived by the master of Italian architecture, Carlo Scarpa, and was considered incredibly innovative in terms of both form and construction for its time. It is an architectural masterpiece born from skilled craftsmanship, initially created by Scarpa to furnish his home in Rio Marin, Venice, Italy. The "1935 Series" is characterized by its horizontal shelves of four different depths and heights, which create a light and distinct horizontal layout, along with an irregular yet pleasing division of space. The shelves, made of natural walnut, are attached to two white vertical metal supports with adjustable tips. The product comes with a certificate of authenticity issued by Bernini.
