19th Century French Buffet Deux Corps
About the Item
Exceptionally well-carved 19th century oak buffet deux corps from France. This two-piece cabinet features a wonderful hand carved decorated crown over a wonderful glazed door cabinet with the original glass doors. The sides of the cabinet have geometric raised panels. The base of the cabinet has highly relieved carvings featuring birds, vines, acanthus leaves and ribbon swags. The cabinet has two geometrically paneled doors with hand carvings of a grouse and a rabbit, surrounded by leaves and ribbons. There is a lower base molding over bun feet.
