We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare circa 1900 suite of three Minty Oxford Golden Oak stacking modular Library Legal bookcases This is an exceptionally rare find, firstly if you are not familiar with stacking bookcases each section can be removed or added to suit your needs, you can see the bookcases as two medium and one very large, you can have two large and one medium, if you want them for under a staircase in a sloping formation then away you go, that is the wonder of these pieces, it takes a few minutes only and your done These bookcases were made for solicitors offices, there were a few companies making them around this time and Minty Oxford were the finest, each door sits perfectly balanced at whatever position you place, they have depression clamps and ball bearings, each door is lockable, a rare feature on these We have cleaned waxed and polished the set from top to bottom, they are solid English light Honey oak, the glass is all original, every section can be locked however I don’t have any keys, I can have them made for a fee should the new owner wish Dimensions: Height 235cm two smaller pieces 189cm high Width 89cm total width 267cm Depth 31cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
