Antique English Arts & Crafts Oak Glazed Bookcase with Pewter & Ebonisedl Inlay
About the Item
An attractive English Arts & Crafts bookcase cabinet, circa 1900, with pewter, fruitwood and ebonised floral inlay of Art Nouveau style. In golden oak with a moulded cornice above two semi-circular arched glazed upper doors enclosing three adjustable shelves, panelled back and pair of inlaid cupboard doors below, all standing on a shaped plinth base. It has locks to the upper & lower doors which are stamped ‘H.A.S 16112/07 PATENT LEVER’. A very lovely bookcase in good condition and that would look equally good for the display of books or works of art.
