Antique Golden Oak Long Breakfront Enclosed and Open Bookcase

About the Item

An antique Edwardian golden oak inverted breakfront bookcase with enclosed and open sections. Circa 1900. The bookcase is in very good clean condition and has been waxed. There are a few light marks with age. The top has a slight indentation mark, as shown in photograph number 11. The interior shelves have some marks and signs of use to them. Five of the metal shelf adjustments have been replaced with later plastic examples. The right hand lock is missing. The left hand lock has had a key made, which works the lock. You made need to gently push the door to close the lock. The central shelves have leather and gilt tooled decorative front edgings. These have been replaced. The shelves are stained pine and oak faced to the front. The back is in stained pine. The bookcase has no damage or woodworm. The plinth is 39cm deep. Open bookcase shelves are 26cm deep. As currently set, the shelves are 26-26-21-23cm in height. The enclosed bookshelves are 44cm wide x 30cm deep. All shelves have full height adjustment.
