We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of very rare original William Baker & Co Ltd “The Oxford” legal Library stacking bookcases
This are pretty much the finest pair of these bookcases I have seen, they are in a rich warm mahogany with Sheraton style inlay in Satinwood and Walnut, these are usually dead plain with nothing interesting timber wise at all. This set has glazed doors to the base and open everywhere else, they are of course modular stacking bookcases so you can change the size
Condition wise is very good, there will be normal patina throughout but they are a very good find and in wonderful order, they have been deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
