Early 20th C English Ebonised Mahogany Bookcase with Brass Grill & Leaded Glass
About the Item
Found in England, this mahogany bookcase cabinet dates from approximately 1900. We had the piece ebonised in England by professionals and left the interiors in the original stained mahogany finish for contrast. The top section can be removed from the base for moving or shipping. The top features include a handsome cornice at the top, the original decorative brass grill and old glass, three adjustable interior shelves, a decorative brass escutcheon and functional lock with key. The base has two pull out shelves at the top, a functional lock and key and two interior, adjustable shallow drawers. Unknown maker.
