Fine 18th Century Georgian Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase with Lined Interior

About the Item

Fine 18th century Georgian mahogany breakfront bookcase on a plinth base with linen slides in the base and lined interior seem behind the glazed doors of the top. Warm color with highly figured panels. Interior lighting has been added when the silk lining was installed.

    Additions or alterations made to the original: Interior has been lined with a pretty ivory colored silk backing and lights. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Great condition overall. There is some minor staining on the upholstered lining in the case that can only be seen when it’s empty.

This design is similar to those found in William Salmon's, "Palladio Londinensis."
