Italian mid-century modern Yellow metal modular bookcase Congresso by Lips Vago, 1960s
Modular self-supporting bookcase mod. Congresso with structure entirely in bright yellow metal. The structure is made up of 4 modules, which can be used together or separately. Shelves and shelf supports fixed by interlocking manually, without the need for other components. This bookcase is in perfect industrial mid-century modern style.
Produced by Lips Vago in approx. 1960s, a merger between the Italian locksmith company Vago and the Dutch cabinet company Lips. Winner of the Smau prize for industrial design in 1968.
Vintage condition, it has several scattered scratches and small lacks of paint.
