Italian Teak, Black Metal and Brass Midcentury Bookshelves Roomdivider
About the Item
This bookshelves was produced in Italy by SELEX in the 1960s. Thanks to its adjustable height ( 278 - 284,5 /285 cm max) it can be placed against a wall or anywhere in a room, used as a space divider.
It is composed by 3 vertical upright, 2 cabinets with doors and shelf, and 5 adjustable shelves;
The bookshelf remains in overall pretty good conditions: however, the uprights, in more than fair condition, are the most damaged parts, especially at the ends. the upper part is not shaped but straight because it was sawn to allow the installation of the bookcase in its original place. Visible signs of wear on the wood in correspondence with the intervention. In some places the teak veneer is raised, as shown in the photo.
The conditions of the shelves and storage units are quite good. All the parts have undergone a light cleaning, wax filling in the missing parts and oil polishing.
