A remarkable 4 shelf bi-fold Mid-Century Modern, freestanding, Room Divider /open Bookcase, in nearly pristine condition. Manufacture By Sun wood Industries by KD Furniture. Lovely double-sided teak tones and grain on both sides in a beautiful rich patina, fantastic teak tones, versatile piece, made to divide a room, so there is no front or back, both sides are equally superb, makes this room divider /Bookcase, ideal for placement in an open floor plan, making it a great focal point. Creative design features four, removable 72" long thick teak wood planks finished on both sides, each securely locking into place and supported by brass pegs inserted into the bi-fold teak hinged frame. Excellent craftsmanship, open, iconic design this unit is completely free-standing with both sides finished making it even more desirable as a room divider/bookcase. This added feature provides multiple choices for placement: such as, center of room or room divider allowing it to be admired from every angle showing off the spectacular wood tones and grain making it a focal point of your room. The long teak shelves offer ample storage space to display books and collectibles. The bi-fold upright support frame can be folded measuring 5" deep x 22" wide for easy transport. This rare unit is in excellent original condition with clean lines, very functional & sought-after and very collectible, perfectly scaled for any space. The visibility of this unit from either side creates the option of using this as a room divider. Measurements: 67 1/2" tall x 19" deep x 72" wide (each shelf is 12" deep x 72" long).
