This piece is stamped to the base as follows "OAK" SALVAGED FROM THE WRECK OF NELSON'S FLAGSHIP "FOUDROYANY" With a copper plaque to the top which reads Around the rim:- MADE BY GOODALL LAMB AND HIGHWAY LTD MANCHEST In the middle:- THIS BOOKCASE IS MADE FROM THE OAK & PINE SALVAGED FROM THE FOUDROYANT NELSON'S FLAGSHIP OF WHICH THIS DISC OF COPPER FORMED A PART So there you have it, I think this will be the only bookcase table in the world of this type, it will be listed for sale just this one time and either be snapped up by a deserting collector or some museum The piece has been fully restored by my cabinet maker and French polisher, it is now gallery perfect Dimensions Height:- 86.5cm Width:- 52cm Depth:- 52cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
