1820s French Wooden Buffet

About the Item

A wooden buffet created in France circa 1820. Stout and sturdily constructed, this expansive wooden buffet displays a confident design and classic 1800s French artisanry. Paneled doors, rotund and lathed feet, and fastidiously carved floral motifs combine to distinguish this artful buffet. The surface of the oak has been delicately treated with a bleaching process, which has brought into stark relief the details of the natural wood grain patterning.
