Dutch 19th Century Empire Buffet

About the Item

A handsome Dutch Empire buffet made of walnut with ebonized details. The top of this cabinet is made of walnut and has two extending shelves on each end for additional surface area. Below is a long single drawer with large brass knobs. The center of the drawer has a functioning lock surrounded by a decorative escutcheon plate. The drawer's interior is fitted with three removable dividers. Below the drawer is a pair of paneled and bookmatched doors fronts flanked with ebonized columns capped with gilt bronze ormolu at the top and bottom. The door opens to reveal a single fixed shelf at 18” deep. One key works both locks. This antique has been professionally refinished and restored and is ready for your immediate use.
