Pine Buffet from the Mid-19th Century with Two Drawers over Two Carved Doors

About the Item

This nicely carved pine buffet from the mid-19th century features a raised rectangular top with rounded edges over two drawers with brass pulls, atop two doors. The simplicity of the pine structure is perfectly balanced by the elegant choice of the decorative vocabulary. Two high reliefs on each side of the doors evoke the presence of turned legs. The two doors are adorned with raised foliage themed carvings. The piece is raised on a flat base, providing perfect stability. This carved pine buffet, circa 1870 would be a delightful addition to any living or dining room.
