17th Century French Renaissance Hand-Carved Front Section of a Built in Cabinet
About the Item
This beautiful carved Renaissance front section was a part of a built in cabinet.
The carvings are typical for Bretagne area in France and it can be dated mid-17th century. The carvings depicts classical floral elements, a cherub and classical architectural elements. This type of furniture was usually meant for storing food and beverages. It is completely made in solid oak and it has a beautiful stained and waxed finish. The two vertical outer pieces of the framework are renewed and the whole thing has been carefully checked in our workshop. Ready for use.
