1960's Good Sized Honey Sapele Desk - Nabytek Czech 1960's Good Sized Honey Sapele Desk - Nabytek Czech. Beautiful simple and classic mid century desk sourced in the Czech Republic. Produced by Nabytek in Brno in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production in Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th century, with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Nabytek's was one of the top end cabinet producers competing with Up Zavody. This is a high quality practical desk in a rich original colour with seven practical drawers and good knee clearance. Internal dimensions right and left drawers 47L x 25W x 14H. Middle drawer dimensions 49L x 38W x 11H. All dimensions cm. Knee height clearance 73cm. The desk is very original but our workshop has gently cleaned and restored it ensuring all drawers run and open smoothly. All drawers can be locked with the original keys. The central drawer locks just as that drawer, then there are two keys in the kneehole space that lock the left and right banks of drawers. WORKSHOP REPORT Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
