This elegant tall Biedermeier trumeau tall chest was made in Vienna circa 1825.
Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
Pieces of such quality as this tall Biedermeier commode are very rare and hard to find.
This Biedermeier piece have highly figured walnut veneer with beautiful light deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina.
There are 3 shelves inside topped with a drawer on top.
On the back of the piece there is a 19th century sticker of Austrian railroads.
Wien (Vienna), Westbahnhof (West railway station).
This is significant information about the history of this particular piece of furniture.
Walnut veneer of this elegant commode has in some places delicate green shades visible on attached photos. This happens very rarely.
