Antique Arts and Crafts letter-size oak desktop file cabinet by American Cabinet Company, c. 1900s.
Great little cabinet with two drawers ideal for a desk or tabletop. The drawers feature an open back, inset carved handles and are fitted with a sturdy spring mechanism to secure loose documents. The sides are finely carved with an intersecting square pattern coordinating with drawer front detail. “American Cabinet" is in yellow stenciled lettering across the front.
Not only nice for files, but may serve as an “inbox” to keep pertinent documents, bills and receipts at hand. The drawers easily slide out and stand independently for easy access to contents. An attractive organizational accessory for your office or any room in your home. It is in good condition with a finely aged, warm patina.
