English Mahogany Console Cabinet
About the Item
The drawers of this console cabinet are carved with stylized leaves. The top edge is carved with a repeating ring and bead motif. The ends have carved oval medallions and stiles that have carved bellflowers. The doors have molded panels with carved bellflower swags and carved rosettes in the corners. The doors are made from 1 1/8-inch-thick solid mahogany. The drawer linings are heavy solid oak. The drawer locks are heavy four inch by 5/8 inch, and are signed Emil Jansson Halsingborg. It retains its original working key.
