About the Item

Exhibition quality antique Victorian pollard oak credenza having a superior quality pollard oak top with moulded edge. It has a stunning pair of pollard oak moulded panelled and carved doors to the centre with original ornate brass hinges. The doors open to reveal a shelved interior flanked by pollard oak glazed doors and glazed ends with original ornate brass hinges, adjustable shelf and turned tapering columns with beautifully carved sunflower supports. The base boasts a pollard oak shelf and is raised on elegant turned feet. Original key. This example even though not stamped with the maker was most certainly crafted by one of the top cabinet makers of the Victorian period, the quality of the materials and craftsmanship are superior.
