Fish Cabinet
About the Item
The intriguing aesthetic of this beautiful handmade cabinet is unique, unlike anything else you're likely to encounter.
The faces of the doors are decorated with wood-veneer marquetry in a geometric fish pattern using Walnut, Ash and Fumed Eucalyptus veneers.
The dimensions of the piece are well considered, with an appealing proportion of negative space defined by the four sweeping legs.
The two doors are mounted on easily adjusted hinges and are fitted with push-to-open sprung magnetic catches which obviate the need for handles.
The cabinet opens to reveal an interior finished in an ebony colour, with a height adjustable shelf on each side of a central division panel. The internal depth will accommodate wine bottles lying horizontally.
The piece is finished with Rubio Monocoat, a durable organically derived natural oil finish.
