French Art Deco Cabinet in Oak

About the Item

Cabinet, in glass and oak, France, 1950s. Robust cabinet in cerused oak with glass vitrine sliding-doors. The high storage part consist of a vitrine part, with one glass shelves. The lower part is a cabinet with one door that has a decorative, geometric panel on the front and a sturdy wooden locking system. This high board has a more sturdy appearance compared to most Art Deco cabinets. Designers Charles Dudouyt, Jean-Charles Moureux and Gaston Poisson were masters in this style. They combined the more feminine and refined Art Deco style with graphical patterns and masculine elements. Please note that this item is in used condition.
