French Empire Flame Mahogany Cabinet

About the Item

This is a stately French Empire flame mahogany cabinet. The top has a straight edge above a frieze with a pyramidal architectural feature. The cabinet contains two large cupboard doors with ivory escutcheons, flanked by ebonized stiles topped with gilt female heads and ending in gilt feet. The cabinet is situated on a plinth base, circa 1840.
