George IV Mahogany Bedside Cabinet, 19th Century

About the Item

George IV Mahogany bedside cabinet A George IV mahogany drop leaf bedside cabinet. The cabinet has a mock drawer front that falls forward to open and has a knob handle with a twist catch. The drop leaves are supported by a hinged flap when open. The cabinet has very attractive lappet carved tapering reeded legs. The cabinet is finished to the back with dummy drawer fronts and the underside has a maker's stamp for J Simpson. This exceptional quality mahogany cabinet has oak secondary timber and is heavy quality. (Circa 1830) Measures: height 73cm (28.7 inches) Width 41cm (16.1 inches) Depth 46.5cm (18.3 inches).
