Industrial 98 Drawer Revolving Hardware Cabinet
About the Item
Circa Late Victorian era 98 drawer revolving hardware store cabinet. The spinning octagonal top holds 80 wedge shaped drawers with white porcelain knobs and scalloped edge metal label holders. The base has 18 rectangular shaped drawers, also with porcelain knobs. Most drawers on the revolving portion are faintly numbered so the numbers originally coincided with the hardware in the drawers. The overall wear and use give this piece its much needed character and desirabilty. Immeasurable amount of uses around the home, work place or shop.
Structurally sound and sturdy. Good overall condition with overall wear consitant with age and use. Some minor splits, chips, gouges, scuffs, finish loss, scratches, etc. to the wood. Color variations to the wood finish due to fading from light exposure and age. Spins quietly. All drawers work smoothly. There are seven new bottom drawers with replaced porcelain hardware. Bun feet and base board have been added. Some metal label holders were non existent.
Approximately 30" deep at the base x 30" wide x 64.5" high.
