Mid 19th century glazed carved oak Liège cabinet
About the Item
Mid 19th century glazed carved oak liege cabinet circa 1860.
Beautiful 2 piece liege cabinet from Belgium presented in oak, original green coloured glass and contrasting painted interior.
Top section with carved architectural cornice, rounded sides with recessed carved panels. Single glazed door to the front which allows access to the 3 shaped shelves, complete with original slide. Bottom section of the same manner which contains a further 2 shelves and a lower storage space. Glazed panels to the sides top and bottom. All raised on 4 shaped legs.
Minor surface marks and old restorations, evidence of minor wood worm which is long inactive and treated. Putty to top glazing has been re-done to provide stability.
