Mid-Century Chinoiserie Black Lacquer Cabinet with Gilded Painted Doors

About the Item

This is a stunning Chinoiserie style black lacquer cabinet with gilded (golden) doors that have images of birds, mountains and grasses painted in the gilding. There are two decorative brass door pulls. Cabinet opens to reveal one adjustable shelf. The case is painted in black lacquer. The back of the case is finished. There are brass caps at the feet. There are no makers marks on this piece. There is a three part cabinet designed by Renzo Rutilli that has almost identical gilding/painting on the front cabinet doors. Dimensions are 33"W x 19"D x 30.75"H There is one scratch on the inside of one of the doors (see close up) and there are very minor imperfections to the black lacquer on the case (see close ups).
