Pair Aubergine Glass with Clear Murano Spheres Cabinets with Brass Legs, Italy
About the Item
Bespoke, One-of-a-kind Pair of Aubergine Plum Glass with Murano Spheres Cabinets with Brass Legs handmade in Italy, 2023. Wooden frame is veneered or clad in reverse-painted art glass panels in a rich aubergine or plum color. Hand-casted, solid Murano clear glass spheres adorn the front glass doors and sides of each piece and reflect light, creating a jeweled, three-dimensional effect. These cabinets are versatile and can be used as sideboards, nightstands, or dry bars. The two doors to each piece have a push-to-open mechanism and a single wooden interior shelf that can be repositioned up or down depending on needs. The tapered legs are in solid-turned brass. This unique pair of cabinets was entirely handmade in Italy specifically for Karina Gentinetta. This is a one of a kind custom item. This cabinet is on display at the Gallery at 200 Lex at the New York Design Center.
Please note that as these cabinets are unique works of art with projecting glass spheres, they must be handled with care and with the appropriate push-to-open mechanism of the doors.
