Pair of Chinese Square Corner Locking Cabinets

About the Item

Perfecting line and proportion, the simple design of this pair of low locking chests celebrate the restraint of classic Chinese furniture forms. Crafted from reclaimed elmwood, the cabinets are modeled after those used for general storage in a Qing-dynasty home. The cabinets are minimally decorated save for their rich, dark brown finish and the soft glimmer of their brass dagger-post lock. We love this pair of chests flanking a sofa, filled with a collection of contemporary art books or antique tomes.
