About the Item
A pair of striking Napoleon III style ebonized cabinets, with Boulle style faux tortoiseshell cut-brass marquetry, gilt brass mounted black lacquered solid wood construction, topped with a shaped black marble top with white veining.
Mid-19th century French Parisian styling, hand-crafted in the late 20th century, exceptionally executed, having a single dovetailed drawer over cabinet with large spacious interior and single shelf, both with key included.

Condition Report:
Very good original vintage condition. Presents well, strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound, retaining vintage character marks and charm throughout, including marble tops displaying inherent natural inclusions and fissures, as well as minor chipping to edges, mostly contained to the unfinished back edge. Typical wear and minor finish losses. One cabinet with not noticeable gouge and blended fill to side. Wear consistent with age and use. Overall stunning examples!
