Pair of Tall Biedermeier Corner Cabinets designed by Karl Bock 1930s

About the Item

Absolutely gorgeous, a rare find! Circa 1940, these concave form cupboards with four hinged doors have silver toned metal mounts with shelved interiors and flush bases. Originally a built-in, now with later finished feet; some small veneer chips; possibly lacking escutcheons; no keys. Bock, a renowned interior designer, was brought down from New York in the 1930s to design and furnish several interiors for the Duke family and University.
