Turn of the Century French Neo-Rennaissance Cabinet

About the Item

Rich with ornate detail, this beautiful Neo-Renaissance cabinet makes a truly unique period piece. Built in France at the turn of the century, the magnificent case is crowned by a peaked cornice: below, diamond-point moldings, turned columns and carved lion heads form a delightfully extravagant composition, both geometric and fanciful. The peaked door panels house beveled mirror glass, while the shelves within are painted a fresh shade of cream, creating a stylish monochromatic contrast with the dark exterior of the case. The rich black patina of the wood lends the elaborate design a distinguished and somber air.
