Turn of the Century French White Patinated Vitrine

About the Item

This Provincial wooden cabinet combines a unique design with a nostalgic patina to enchanting effect. Made in France at the turn of the century, the metal grill which fronts the upper cabinet indicates that this piece would have originally been used as a larder cupboard — the mesh panels would have allowed air to ventilate, keeping food fresh. An array of square and rectangular nooks with beautifully contoured shelf dividers creates a charming organizational display. The white paint of the wood has weathered over the years to a gentle patinated finish, lending an air of faded romantic to this French country gem.
