Very Fine Pair of Late 19th Century Marble Top Plinths or Side Cabinets
About the Item
A very fine pair of late 19th Century richly patinated, fruitwood marble top dome fronted plinths or side cabinets. Fabulously hand carved and crossbanded throughout, the gorgeous moulded Marquina Black marble top is raised over a simple, panelled frieze with a beautifully lined single drawer with brass escutchion. Raised over a futher single panelled cabinet door below, which opens to reveal a further lined shelved interior and is adorned to the central reserve of the front panelling with fabulous flowerhead motif detail, carved in high relief, supported on platform plinth base.
