This is a very large antique museum showcase. An English, walnut glazed display cabinet on ornate stand by Holland & Sons of London, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Exceptional craftsmanship evident to this large exhibition-standard showcase Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order Select walnut stocks present fine grain interest and deep russet hues Glazed with superb original panels for a bright viewing experience Of tall trapezoid shape, with five windows casting light throughout the form Generously sized door to one end, dressed with two twist clasps Further appointed with an inset working lock — set of keys present Interior finished with a quality textile display base in a light golden hue Strikingly carved display base a visual spectacle Ornate carved field panels host portrait masks to each fascia Stout cupped and decorated legs taper to brass capped feet with inset roller ball United in captivating fashion with cross stretcher rails and a prominent gadrooned centrepiece Maker's labels to each end read Holland & Sons, 9 Mount Street, London This is an exceptional antique museum cabinet, with striking proportion and a display experience of the first order.
