1770s Louis XV Important Roman Marquetry Flap Dresser

About the Item

A Louis XV flap dresser with drawers and secrets hand-carved and inlaind wood in the second part of 18th century in Rome. The furniture it's in original conditions with signs of use and age, our work philosophy is not to restore antique furniture because it must be accepted for its strengths and weaknesses, it has a rich patina that adds to the piece's historical charm. It combines the elegance of the Louis XV style with the exquisite art of marquetry. This dresser would have been considered a luxurious and highly decorative item, displaying the craftsmanship and artistic sensibilities of the 18th Century. Marquetry involves the inlay of various wood veneers to create a geometric diamond scheme. This roman Ribalta it's a visually stunning and highly sought-after piece that would serve both practical and decorative purposes in a luxurious interior.
