17th Century Moulded Oak Chest Of Drawers.

About the Item

A late 17th century oak moulded chest of drawers with carved panels to the ends. This chest of drawers consists of a three plank top with a moulded edge leading down to four long moulded drawers. Interestingly this chest has an early use of recycling. The reuse of the carved back rail to the inside of the chest and the carved lunette panels to the ends, indicate that earlier wall panelling was broken up and incorporated into this chest of drawers.
