18th Century Baroque Chest Of Drawers, Nutwood - Austria circa 1770

Remarkable baroque chest of drawers from the period in Austria around 1770. A fantastic late 18th century chest of drawers showing an extraordinary design combining straight lines with soft curved shapes. The fine nut wood veneered surface with beautiful grain confers this amazing looking chest of drawers a real special appearance. This over 250 years old antique dresser was part of the inventory of an old chapel and impresses with its roots maple sections, whereby each field has been additionally framed by delicate inlayed ebonized fruitwood. Adorned by lovely brass fittings, the three artfully designed, cambered drawers can be locked separately with the still original so-called "snap locks" and offer a lot of storage space (the original key is included). Outstanding 19th century chest of drawers from the famous Biedermeier period in Vienna/ Austria around 1840. Impressing with an absolute fantastic grain, this elaborately restored commode offers four large, lockable drawers which provide a lot of storage room. The high-quality nutwood veneer has been set in an absolute beautiful manner to make it look like it is running down from top to the bottom without any interruption. In contrast to that the slightly curved pilaster strips show a horizontally veneered surface. Fantastic looking brass key blades in the shape of shields and a traditional handmade shellac polish finalize the exceptional appearance of this fine austrian Biedermeier chest of drawers...
