19th Century French Walnut Chest of Drawers or 'Chiffonnier'
About the Item
This charming and petite walnut chest of drawers dates from the 19th century, and features three identical opening drawers, each dovetailed and lined with velvet, and equipped with twoornate brass pull knobs and a shield-shaped escutcheon. Simple but elegant in style, the commode is beautifully aged, especially on its drawer fronts, which adds lots of character andinterest. Resting on four square section legs, its top is well made and highly polished, with mitered corners. It would make a delightful bedside cabinet
