Antique Marble Topped Burr Elm Commode, Dramatic Matchbook Veneer
About the Item
A classic Louis Philippe commode in dramtically grained elm. Three wide drawers plus an extra hidden drawer in the plinth! The elm has very good color and patina, with some wear across the matchbooked veneer. Marble is in nice condition, with small chips on the side, shown in thumbnail. Chamfered feet complete the look. Two keys. The key for the top drawer does not turn well, but can be used to pull open the top drawer. Bottom key fits into all 3 bottom keyholes, and may be used to open and close the three bottom drawers.
