Early 19th century Swedish oak inlaid chest of drawers, circa 1800.
Rare Swedish period commode with a serpentine shaped front. Fitted with 5 drawers in a 2 over 3 format, each drawer with cock beaded edges, inlaid with walnut and satinwood and ebony stringing
Inlaid birch design on the sides. Organic applied carving beneath the drawers which continues round the sides.
Original ornate handles, and key plates
Some expected minor restorations to veneer and fading to top surface, but in fine condition for age and ready for everyday use.
