French 19th Century Commode, Designed in Nice Clean Lines

About the Item

A French painted wood commode from the 19th century. This antique chest from France features a rectangular-shaped top above a case which houses three full-sized drawers, framed within a pair of flute-carved front side posts. The drawers are each adorn with a pair of rectangular bail pulls, flanking a shield-shaped escutcheon keyhole within their center. The skirt is straight and the case is presented upon four square-tapered legs, which forward feet also adorn in the flute-carvings. There is a newer custom finish in a taupe/wheat color palette with brown trim accents. This 19th century French commode, with its minimalistic design and soft/neutral colors, will make a lovely decorative storage and display addition to a bedroom or living area.
