this highly stylized two drawer commode is a fine example of the influence of the Chinoiserie style sweeping Europe in the 18th century. of serpentine shape and retaining its original marble top this commode is constructed of walnut with the drawers having mixed wood inlays, the bronze hardware with Chinoiserie figures
