About the Item
A Stunning Early 20th Century French Louis XVI Commode or Chest of drawers. The wood is a gorgeous Mahogany with a statuary marble top. The three drawers are deep and roomy. The top drawer has many divisions and a place for small contents, and divisions for separating textiles.
A center drawer has a floating division that slides back and forth allowing items to be placed on bottom and by sliding the top are easy to access.
The sides are turned and carved with round legs with marble cut to the specifics of the hand tooled wood. A compliment to many spaces, from modern to traditional - a wonderful focal point on any wall from the bedroom, hallway, entry way, dining room or study.
*The key shown comes with the cinnabar medallion, however the key is decorative and does not lock the drawers.

- Condition:Replacements made: Two Brass Pulls have been replaced with the same period / Era pulls from France. Wear consistent with age and use. Marble has one small flea bite which is non-offensive - *see images - easily covered on the left middle area - no cracks or chips.
