Pair of Italian Mezza Luna Inlaid Marquetry Olivewood Bombe Commodes
About the Item
Pair of midcentury Italian Olivewood marquetry cabinets.
Beautiful matching set of Hollywood Regency mezza Luna bombe cabinets.
Offered here in original and fine condition.
Solid olivewood structure with curved edges and beautifully shaped drawers.
Thick walled high gloss lacquer over intricate floral patterned marquetry.
Each corner adorned with an image of a gorgeous putto angel.
Each cabinet has 3 drawers with original filigree brass pull handles.
Highly decorative and useful furniture.
Versatile uses, from side cabinets to bedside cabinets or nightstands
In very good vintage condition and showing small signs consistent with age.
There are some cracking to the thick lacquered glossy surface to both cabinets.
Efforts have been made to capture the worst of them on camera but they are not so visible to untrained eyes.
