Pair of Silver Leaf Black Lacquer Cinguini attributed Dorothy Draper Commodes

About the Item

This is a truly magical pair of American design. These commodes are most likely designed by Cinguini for Dorothy Draper, one of America's most famous and beloved designed of the mid 1900s era. The cabinets are adorned with parcel silver leaf on a black ground and carved wooden 'Belt Buckle"s for the 4 drawers. The cabinets are in good condition and will show the appropriate signs of age and use but nothing significant. They are incredibly imaginative and gorgeous and will make the room absolutely magical in the ways Hollywood regency designs often did by Draper and other noteworthy designers of the time. Measures 42.75 wide x 36 inches tall x 22 inches deep. Dates to the 1950s era.
